Early betting markets have again been active this week, with several significant moves identified across both major venues.
At Caulfield, several runners have been heavily backed into single figures, suggesting strong stable confidence and well-placed opportunities.
Meanwhile at Rosehill, a mix of well-supported favourites and a big price mover indicates some sharp money has already stepped in early.

Race 1 – #7 WOLFY ($10.00 → $6.00)
Wasn’t suited first-up in a race that didn’t match his usual pattern, but he is a horse who traditionally improves sharply second-up.
From the low draw he maps to get all the favours in transit, and with a light weight on his back, he looks well placed against this field.
Jamie Mott, who partnered him to victory last preparation, stays aboard.
Expect sharp improvement.
Race 2 – #4 BLUESTONE ($3.50 → $2.60)
Produced a brilliant fresh performance before having excuses last start where luck went against him at a key stage.
Drops in weight, rises to a more suitable trip and now looks to be nearing peak fitness third-up.
Regular rider Ben Allen has a strong association with the horse and from the low draw, he should enjoy a perfect run in transit. Looks ready to bounce back.
Race 8 – #2 JIGSAW ($10.00 → $5.50)
Chasing six straight wins and has established himself as one of the most reliable on-speed runners going around.
The wide draw means he’ll need to work early, but this race lacks genuine pressure, giving him every chance to cross and control proceedings.
If he finds the front without too much effort, he will take serious running down.
Main danger drawn inside may need luck and if that happens, Jigsaw could pinch it.
Race 9 – #9 ROULETTE KING ($8.00 → $4.60)
Has been dominant through the midweek grades and now gets his opportunity to measure up at Saturday level.
Versatile racing style means barrier 10 shouldn’t be a major concern, with options to settle where comfortable.
Jamie Mott sticks, and the horse looks to have more upside than many of his rivals. Can make the jump.

Race 4 – #2 SKYHOOK ($4.50 → $3.60)
Has trialled impressively leading into this and shapes as a horse on the rise this preparation.
The stable clearly has a level of expectation, and if he is to meet it, this is the race where he needs to announce himself.
Profiles well fresh and looks ready to fire.
Race 5 – #4 AELIANA ($1.95 → $1.65)
Potential star in the making and could be fast-tracked toward elite targets with a strong performance here.
Steps to her ideal distance and gets the services of James McDonald, a major push in itself.
When the Waller camp backs one with this level of confidence, it’s usually for a reason. Hard to oppose.
Race 6 – #1 OBSERVER ($3.00 → $2.70)
The definition of consistency and looks well placed to challenge the favourite here.
Drawn to land on speed and control the race, he should get every chance in the run.
Craig Williams making the trip to ride is a significant positive. Will take catching.
Race 8 – #2 CLOSER TO FREE ($15.00 → $7.50)
A rapidly improving type with serious upside, and the early money suggests the stable holds him in very high regard.
His debut win was strong, and he was unlucky not to remain unbeaten.
With natural progression and the right run, he shapes as a major player.
