This week we have both major venues covered, highlighting a number of significant betting moves that provide an excellent guide for punters.

At Flemington, leading trainer of stayers Michael Kent appears to have one primed to peak over the 2400m trip.

Meanwhile at Randwick, Ciaron Maher remains in the ownership of an early runner on the card — always a strong indicator of added motivation to have the horse well placed and ready to win.

Flem Tips

Bluestone

Now rock-hard fit following three runs this preparation and comes from the respected staying yard of Michael Kent.

He was excellent at Caulfield last start over 2400m, charging home late to just miss when finishing second.

This is a slight rise to Benchmark 84 level, but he looks perfectly placed to peak here.

Café Au Lait

Has been heavily backed on multiple occasions, suggesting she is showing the stable plenty behind the scenes.

Now rock-hard fit after two runs at 1400m, and from the low draw (gate 3), expect a much more positive ride.

She has the versatility to lead or sit just off the speed — and either way, looks well placed to strike. Yes.

Cavalry

Has won his past two starts at Newcastle and now returns to Melbourne Saturday grade, where the stable clearly believes he can measure up.

His last-start win was dominant, putting them away by 4.5 lengths, and he looks a horse with potential stakes-grade upside.

From the wide draw (gate 17), expect him to go back, find cover, and be charging home late.

King Zephyr

Has been the subject of several strong betting moves recently and had genuine excuses last start at Caulfield after being found lame post-race.

His second-up record (2:2-0-0) is flawless, and he profiles as the fresh horse ready to improve sharply.

Expect a much better performance here.

Randwick Tips

Enamorada

With Ciaron Maher still in the ownership, motivation is clearly aligned for a big result.

She was excellent last start at Caulfield when narrowly beaten after being heavily backed into favourite.

Drops into a weaker off-season Saturday metro race here and looks well placed to go one better.

Cantiamo

The Kris Lees stable are flying and have shown strong intent with this filly, stepping her into Group 3 company last start.

While finishing sixth in the PJ Bell, the run had merit, with minor interference costing her momentum.

Drops back to Benchmark 78 grade here and looks to have a clear class edge.

Call Me Gorgeous

The David Pfeiffer stable can be very dangerous when the money comes, and that appears to be the case again here.

She has won her past two starts impressively and now steps up to Randwick Saturday grade.

With strong ties to long-time owner Olly Koolman, expect the stable to have her ready to deliver.

Fiddlers Green

Represents influential owner Peter Horowitz, and the stable will be keen to deliver a result.

He was heavily backed at Warwick Farm last start and won convincingly by 1.8 lengths.

If the track pattern favours wider lanes late in the day, barrier 11 could prove ideal.
