There were two more winners last Saturday for our market movers, including Bring Forth at a juicy $5.30 price.

Punters are out in force again this week, picking off mispriced runners in early markets across both major venues.

At Mornington, they’ve zeroed in on a Jerome Hunter runner once again and this could finally be the day he breaks through after a series of well-backed performances, now dropping into an easier race.

Meanwhile at Randwick, a Gai/Bott two-year-old filly looks perfectly set up to take out the Group 1 Champagne Stakes, with the benefit of recent racing and the trademark toughness the stable is known for.

Mornington Tips

Luna Vega

Connections are keen to build the profile of sire Lucky Vega, and with this filly placed in a preferred stable, motivation is high across the board.

She must be showing plenty at home to attract this level of market support and has already competed well in strong two-year-old company.

Profiles as well above average and could simply outclass this field.

Chateau Eze

Brings strong form through Sheza Alibi two starts back beaten six lengths, but that reads well for a race of this depth.

The stable clearly had an opinion of her to contest the Group 2 Angus Armanasco, and she now looks set to peak fourth-up this preparation.

From gate 4, expect a more positive ride, which could prove the key to her chances.

Wonder Boy

Has been the subject of multiple strong betting moves throughout his career, although they haven’t always landed recently.

That said, he must be flying at home to keep attracting support, and this is a much easier race than he has been contesting.

The Jerome Hunter stable know their horses and this looks a genuine opportunity for him to break through.

Pavlich

Has built a strong fitness base with two recent runs at 1600m, including a solid win at Bendigo last start.

That effort suggests he is now rock-hard fit, and his on-speed performance showed good stamina.

Drawn inside the favourite, he has the tactical speed to secure a favourable position and give himself every chance.

Randwick Tips

Plaintiff

Arguably the best-backed runner in the country this week, with a wave of early money driving a significant move in the market.

She remains unbeaten from four starts and impressed again in Group 3 grade last time, overcoming challenges in running.

With strong ownership backing and stable motivation aligned, she looks the one they all have to beat.

Matias

Produced an excellent second-up performance in the PJ Bell, finishing third in a strong field.

Now third-up he looks ready to peak based on his previous preparation.

The booking of Nash Rawiller is a strong indicator, with his camp renowned for identifying horses ready to perform.

Travolta

Consistent Waller stayer who tends to lift when James McDonald takes the ride.

He was well backed last start but had genuine excuses after being dragged back in the run, where a more forward position may have produced a different result.

With a cleaner run, he shapes as a major improver.

Miss Chanel

One of the more highly regarded two-year-olds of the season, now set up perfectly to peak in a race that should suit.

The Gai/Bott yard excel at building stamina into young horses, and this has clearly been a long-range target.

Her run in the Sires’ Produce over 1400m was strong late, and the rise to 1600m looks ideal.
