This week we have both major venues covered, highlighting some dynamic early market moves which showcase where the sharp stable money may be flowing.
On a huge Derby Day card at Flemington, Waller's gun three-year-old sprinter has been a significant shortener and looks to have been primed for the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes.
Whilst at Randwick, Kris Lees appears to be setting one up for his big betting owners, with the early market support suggesting a first-up betting sting could be on the cards!

Hankee Alpha
The Cindy Alderson stable are enjoying a rich vein of form and clearly have their horses absolutely humming at present, with the feeding and training programs seemingly working to perfection.
She simply brained them all by six lengths here last start, albeit in much weaker Benchmark 78 company. However, the sheer dominance of that victory suggests she is a long way better than the grade she was competing in.
The step into Group 3 company on a major carnival day is significant, but the stable clearly believes she deserves her opportunity and the early market support suggests there is plenty of confidence around her chances.
She looks well above average and could eventually develop into a genuine Group 1 contender if she continues progressing at this rate.
Watch betting again very late!
Persian Spirit
Gun sprinter on his day who possesses a vicious turn of foot when given the right run, and his latest Caulfield victory was a welcome return to his brilliant best.
The fact the money has arrived again suggests the stable believes he has trained on beautifully and is ready to produce another dynamic performance.
Barrier five looks absolutely perfect. True to his usual racing pattern, expect him to settle around midfield with cover, smoke the pipe and conserve every ounce of energy before peeling into clear running.
From there, he can unleash hell on them over the final 200m!
Importantly, Craig Williams sticks, which is an excellent guide to the horse's chances given he would likely have had several options in this field.
St Gotthard
Chris Waller has always held a huge opinion of this colt and there is every chance he has been specifically primed to peak in this rich stallion-making Group 1 contest.
He was excellent in the Golden Rose when finishing second of 12 behind the talented Warwoven, and had genuine excuses after being hampered at a crucial stage when building into the race.
With a cleaner passage, he could easily have finished much closer to the winner.
The fact Waller elected to bypass the Caulfield Guineas and save him for this assignment is particularly telling. It suggests the Coolmore Stud Stakes has been the grand final all along.
With J Mac booked for his good mates at Coolmore, the motivational alignment is enormous and you can expect the stable has left absolutely no stone unturned.
He should be cherry ripe. Yes!
Cormier
Was well supported in betting for last Saturday's Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick, where he produced an extremely brave performance to finish third of nine after taking up the running and absorbing plenty of pressure.
That was a genuine lung-burner and should have provided the perfect fitness foundation for this gruelling 2500m test.
He now knows exactly what it feels like to race under sustained pressure at the highest level, and that experience could prove invaluable when the Derby becomes a true staying contest.
He also brings a touch of class into this field, having already proven himself against quality Group 1 opposition.
Expect him to be one of the strongest over the final 400m when many of his rivals will be starting to feel the pinch.

Donatello
Interesting Chris Waller runner with some particularly healthy motivational alignment, given he races for one of the champion trainer's most loyal ownership groups, which also includes Waller's wife Stephanie!
He has started this preparation with a bang, winning first-up at Kembla Grange before narrowly missing by just half a length when second of seven at Warwick Farm last time out.
The frightening part for his opposition is that Waller is renowned for building his horses gradually through their preparations, with many not reaching their peak until third-up and beyond.
That makes his early form particularly encouraging and suggests there could be plenty more improvement to come.
The step to 1500m looks ideal and you would expect he has been prepared to produce his best here.
Damien
This has all the hallmarks of an absolute set-up job by the shrewd Kris Lees operation, with the early betting suggesting the stable may have this horse primed for a first-up assault!
The particularly interesting aspect is the ownership, which includes some serious punting connections who are known for taking a keen interest in having their horses placed to advantage.
That creates significant motivational alignment for Lees, who would be eager to deliver a result for such influential supporters of his stable.
You would suspect plenty of work has gone into this horse behind closed doors and the early market move suggests he could be showing them something special at home.
Watch the betting very closely as liquidity builds inside the final few minutes.
If another wave of serious money arrives, expect him to be fighting out the finish!
Perishing
Ciaron Maher's import was ultra-impressive on his Australian debut, producing a dominant victory over 1500m at Rosehill in Benchmark 88 company.
That performance suggested he has settled into Australian racing beautifully and could be capable of progressing through the grades very quickly.
Maher has been particularly active purchasing more international stock, and continued success with these imports can only strengthen confidence among prospective owners looking to invest in his latest acquisitions.
The motivation to keep producing results is enormous, particularly when a horse can immediately demonstrate the benefits of the stable's international recruitment program.
This field appears to lack genuine depth and, provided he has trained on from that excellent debut, expect him to improve again.
He looks destined for much loftier targets in time.
Somerton Smart
Intriguing runner who must be absolutely flying to warrant the long trip south from Sue Grills' North West NSW base, with the stable travelling around six hours to tackle Sydney Saturday company.
This is not the sort of placement you see every week from a country operation, so the decision to head straight to town following his dominant Tamworth victory is an excellent guide to the confidence surrounding this horse.
He was trapped wide throughout last start yet still had the audacity to keep finding under pressure before racing away to score by more than two lengths.
It was a victory that had to be seen to be believed, particularly given the amount of extra ground he covered.
The step into metropolitan company is clearly much harder, but the stable wouldn't be making such a significant trip without believing he has the ability to measure up.
If the early support continues, it could be a strong indication that the country visitors are arriving with genuine winning confidence.
