Daniel Pryor Saturday Horse Racing Tips 30/5/26

This week shapes as one of the more competitive Saturdays we've seen in some time and finding winners across all jurisdictions certainly won’t be easy, but hopefully the free selections can bounce back into the winner’s circle.
Group 1 racing remains in Queensland as the Winter Carnival continues to build momentum, although despite the calendar saying sunshine state, the weather forecast suggests we could be dealing with anything but.
Eagle Farm hosts two major Group 1 features with the Queensland Derby over 2400m and the Kingsford Smith Cup over 1300m headlining an outstanding program that also includes a Group 2, three Group 3 races and a Listed event.
Caulfield and Rosehill certainly aren’t taking a backward step either, with competitive winter fields and plenty of opportunities for punters willing to chase value.
Rain is forecast across all three venues, so keeping a close eye on early race patterns and how the tracks are playing could prove critical.
Looking back to last weekend, Birdman delivered in the Group 1 Doomben Cup, with the Chris Waller camp clearly having him primed for the occasion.
James McDonald timed the run perfectly to reel in Pride Of Jenni late, while Vauban boxed on strongly into third.
Now onto this week’s plays.
Around The Grounds – Daniel Pryor Horse Racing Tips 30/5/26
CAULFIELD
Race 5
No.8 – See The Storm ($3.50)
Returns after a lengthy spell following his time in England and profiles as a very interesting runner first-up.
His overall profile is remarkably consistent having never missed a place in ten career starts and the stable would have had plenty of time to get him right for this assignment.
Any market confidence late would only add further confidence.
Race 6
No.9 – Skippers Canyon ($7)
Has been around the mark throughout the preparation and looks close to putting one away.
The rise in distance is the obvious query, but his recent efforts suggest he is looking for it and these odds appeal in what looks a very even race.
ROSEHILL
Race 4
No.12 – Belle Detelle ($16)
Looks set to get the race shape she needs and should appreciate getting out to the longer trip.
If things fall into place from the back half of the field, she can definitely give this a shake at healthy odds.
Race 7
No.19 Emerg – Hay Street ($9) – Dually Nominated
Has continued racing consistently this campaign with multiple wins already this preparation.
If she gains a run here, she has to be respected.
Race 10
No.9 – Hay Street ($3.30) – Dually Nominated
Looks more likely to land here and shapes as one of the better chances of the day.
She continues to race in great form and despite taking on older horses, she looks very hard to beat.
EAGLE FARM
Race 4
No.2 – Blind Raise ($3.80)
Two starts for two wins and has looked highly talented doing it.
The wet track remains the unknown, but there are enough pedigree indicators to suggest conditions shouldn’t worry him.
He stays at 1400m and profiles as a horse that may get further with time.
Race 6
No.5 – Brave Monarch ($4)
An excellent winning strike rate and continues to do very little wrong.
Handles affected ground, maps well and despite being well found in betting, looks capable of adding another win.
