Caulfield Race 2 – #3 Swift Force

Swift Force looks the clear horse to beat.

She resumed here off a 10-week break and looked outstanding, controlling the race in front before putting them away without her rider needing to fully extend.

The rise to 1200m looks ideal and importantly she carries the same weight after the claim, giving her every opportunity to replicate the performance.

From a map perspective she should again settle prominently and if she controls the race on her terms, Gately expects she’ll prove extremely hard to catch.

Caulfield Race 9 – #5 Perspiration

Perspiration appeals strongly each-way resuming.

She won a recent trial in pleasing fashion and importantly has form around several smart horses that stacks up well for this grade.

One key form reference came back in February when she comfortably accounted for Swift Force despite giving away 5kg.

The rain-affected conditions are another major positive as she has always appreciated some give in the ground and with the early price holding around each-way odds, Gately believes she represents strong value.
