BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON – Race 2 No.2 – SABAJ

Back and hopelessly held up until the final 100m in the Silver Eagle before flying home late.

The quick rise to 1600m looks ideal and although drawn wide, he’s a galloper with plenty more wins in him beyond BM84 grade.

Expect him to launch over the top.

 

BEST EACH-WAY BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON – Race 3 No.14 – VESTAS

Terrific return when flashing home in the G3 Northwood Plume, then had good backing in the G2 WFA McEwen Stakes at The Valley and again hit the line strongly from well back.

Drops to 54kg and looks primed to unleash down the straight.

Big each-way chance.

“It’s been a big week at HQ and there’s still more to come.

Sabaj looks perfectly placed to continue progressing and Vestas is right in the mix with a strong second-up record.

Expecting the track to play fair despite the rain, but I’ll be looking for those drawn wider as the day wears on.”
