David Gately Horse Racing Tips for Geelong 23/9/26

David Gately turns his attention to Geelong for Wednesday’s midweek meeting, with his ratings prepared for a Good track and the rail moving out to the 6m position.

There is an important pattern from the previous meeting to consider.

With the rail True, seven of the eight winners were positioned inside the first four at the 600m, suggesting being within striking distance was a significant advantage.

The inside ground became less desirable as the meeting progressed, however, with runners moving away from the rail later in the day.

With the rail now out 6m, assessing how the fresh ground performs early will be important before establishing whether that on-speed pattern remains.
