Randwick presents another competitive metropolitan meeting this Saturday where several runners look capable of improving under favourable conditions.

The meeting is expected to be conducted on a Soft track, with little to no rain forecast despite cool winter conditions limiting any significant drying.

The rail is out 11 metres from the 1100m to the winning post and eight metres for the remainder.

At the previous meeting runners generally avoided the inside rail, with those making their runs down the middle of the track enjoying every chance.

Benevac looks perfectly placed to continue his winning form.

His profile suggests he produces his best racing second and third-up, and he was dominant last start after travelling comfortably on speed before putting the race away.

With fitness continuing to build and similar race conditions expected, he looks the horse to beat again.

Race 6 – #3 Sly Boots

Sly Boots has been racing much better than his recent results suggest.

Two starts back he worked wide against a significant track bias before finally drawing a gate last start, only to find conditions far too wet to produce his best.

A drier surface is expected to suit perfectly and he's capable of bouncing back at attractive each-way odds.

Race 5 – #5 Make It Sweet

Make It Sweet shapes as the value roughie of the day.

She returned with an encouraging effort before racing against a severe bias second-up in a race that has since produced winning form. Last start she continued to hit the line strongly and now steps to 1800 metres, which looks ideal.

With an in-form apprentice taking weight off and generous double-figure odds on offer, she appeals as an excellent knockout chance.
