Randwick returns to a Soft surface with the rail back in the True position after being out 4 metres last meeting.

Sydney racing has been difficult to assess in recent weeks, with inconsistent patterns and noticeable biases.

At the most recent meeting here, three run-on horses filled the top three in quality races.

However, when the rail was last True on February 7, it still favoured runners settling handy, with most avoiding the inside rail later in the day.

There has been significant rain leading into Saturday, but little is forecast on raceday itself.

Race 3 – No.15 KENMARE BAY

Had a month between runs into his latest start and was no match for Centenario, who brings stronger Saturday-grade form lines.

Drops to 52kg here and meets several rivals resuming or second-up.

At around $16, he shapes as an overs chance in a race where conditions may bring others undone.

 

Summary

Roselyn’s Star brings strong, franked form into the finale, while Kenmare Bay appeals as a lightweight roughie capable of outperforming market expectations if the Soft track plays evenly.
