Rosehill shapes as a tricky betting proposition with rain forecast Friday and around 10mm expected on race-day.
Ratings are for a Soft track, though conditions could deteriorate as the day wears on.
The rail returns to TRUE after being at 4m last meeting.
While that normally offers some protection inside, if the rain arrives as predicted, it’s likely riders will edge away from the fence as we’ve seen at recent wet Rosehill meetings.

BET OF THE DAY
ROSEHILL – Race 10 No.7 – CROSS TASMAN
Returned this preparation as a gelding and has been outstanding with two dominant wins.
His most recent effort was particularly strong, sustaining a long run and still proving far too good over the mile while posting excellent figures.
He looks a clear class above this field and profiles as a horse going places.
Regardless of track pattern, he’s the standout on the program and the clear top pick.
BEST ROUGHIE
ROSEHILL – Race 3 No.8 – ANNIE’S ROSE
Resumes off a neat trial and has a very strong fresh record. Last preparation she beat all bar the talented Money Team first-up and has previously won fresh.
Importantly, she’s unbeaten on Soft ground, which could be a major advantage if conditions deteriorate.
At double-figure odds around $18, she looks a genuine value play in an open race.
