David Gately Horse Racing Tips for Rosehill 26/9/26

David Gately has three plays at Rosehill on Saturday, with Skyhook the standout after overcoming a difficult position to deliver for punters first-up.

Rosehill is expected to race on a Good track with the rail in the True position.

Seven of the 10 winners at the most recent meeting settled inside the first four, although the track generally played well.

The previous True-rail meeting saw runners come away from the hard inside, but making ground was no issue, so the early pattern will again be worth monitoring.

Bet of the Day – Race 9 #2 Skyhook

Skyhook was heavily backed first-up and ultimately justified the support, although there were a few nervous moments along the way.

He looked in trouble approaching the turn before responding strongly once asked for his effort and getting the job done well.

His previous preparation showed just how good he can be. He beat all bar Regal Award in the Fred Best before producing a dominant victory over 1600m in the Gunsynd.

With that first-up win under his belt, Skyhook is the one to beat again.

Best Each-Way – Race 10 #9 Banjora

Banjora resumes as a promising galloper with plenty of upside.

He won his maiden comfortably first-up last preparation before producing a very good victory at Rosehill second-up.

He then stepped into the Provincial Championships and measured up strongly despite not having much luck.

His trial ahead of this return was quiet, but the way he travelled through the line was particularly encouraging.

Banjora looks ready to produce another big run fresh.
