Gorgeous looks very well placed back in Midway grade.

Her fresh run had more merit than it appears after blowing the start and conceding valuable position early, while at Scone she had little luck after being badly held up at a crucial stage.

The encouraging part was how strongly she continued to attack the line despite those setbacks.

Back into a more suitable race and carrying a light weight, Gately believes she gets her opportunity to bounce back.

Rosehill Race 5 – #1 Duvana

Duvana profiles as one of the better value plays of the day.

He was forced to race closer to the slower inside section at Scone first-up but still finished off well enough and market support suggested there was confidence behind him.

Now fitter second-up and rising to 1500m, the setup looks more suitable.

Most importantly, he has already proven himself on Heavy ground which could prove critical if conditions deteriorate further.

At double-figure odds, Gately believes he has been underestimated by the market.
