Free Flemington Horse Racing Tips 4/11/25

Cup week rolls on and after a cracking Derby Day, confidence is sky-high heading into the race that stops a nation.

The free package delivered nicely on Saturday with Panova ($5.10) and Caballus ($4.45) both saluting, while the premium package found another six winners plus a string of exotics, including a $835 First Four in the Wakeful and a healthy $148 Exacta in the Derby.

It’s been a red-hot start to Cup week, and now we move on to the big one, the 2025 Melbourne Cup.

Punters who’ve followed the free tips over the years know Cup Day has been a fruitful one for me, with Without A Fight ($9) and Gold Trip ($21) both delivered as on-top selections in recent years.

A strong tempo brings her right into it. Handles the wet and looks massive overs if the rain sets in.

 

Race 3

#9 Arabian Prince – $4

A maiden with upside who’s found the right race. Strong late splits last start and a proven trainer/jockey combo add confidence.

 

Race 5

#1 Cleveland – $21

Love him at this price. Showed signs last start that he’s ready to peak, just had no luck in the straight. Big track suits and he’s a proven wet tracker if conditions deteriorate.

 

Race 7 – The Melbourne Cup (3200m)

#24 Valiant King – $8

#16 Onesmoothoperator – $31 (prefers dry)

#2 Buckaroo – $10

#9 Absurde – $23

#4 Vauban – $26

#15 More Felons – $51 (if surface stays dry)

Valiant King looks to have been set for this all along and will relish the two miles. Big chance to deliver a knockout for punters.

#3 Grand Prairie – $12

#15 Ludlum – $5.50

#7 Ripley – $6.50

 

Race 9

#1 Fancify – $9.50

Won this race last year leading all the way and gets a very similar setup again.

Loves Flemington and still well enough in at the weights to repeat the dose.
