Race 3 – #9 Anthropoid $3.40

Anthropoid has been racing consistently throughout this preparation and gets his chance to convert that form into a win.

He measured up well at this grade two starts ago at Warwick Farm, finishing in the placings despite covering ground, before fighting hard when runner-up at Kembla last start.

There are some significant positives this time. James McDonald takes the ride, the blinkers go on and he draws a good gate, giving him every opportunity to find the right position.

Race 4 – #2 Kenmare Bay $2.25

Kenmare Bay looks ready to break through after consecutive placings in Saturday company.

His past two runs have come behind Aethelwulf and Appeared, and that form should hold up strongly dropping back to a Warwick Farm midweek.

He should also take improvement from getting out to 2400m last start and gets another opportunity over the staying trip here.

A wet track would be ideal, but he's racing well enough on dry ground to win this.
