Horse Racing Tips for Gosford 22/10/26

Chris Camilleri heads to Gosford for Thursday racing with a selection in all eight races and two runners carrying his highest stake.

Powerful Prayer in Race 6 and Peleus in Race 7 are Chris's two standout betting opportunities, with both featuring prominently in his plans for the afternoon.

Peleus is the shortest-priced runner on the card at $1.75, while Powerful Prayer offers a more attractive price at $3.50 despite carrying the same highest staking confidence.

With his two strongest selections appearing in consecutive races, the latter stages of the Gosford meeting shape as the main betting focus.

There are also several bigger-priced opportunities earlier in the program, including Lions Eyes at $9 in Race 3, Ready Made Heir at $5.50 in Race 2 and Wild Courage at $5.50 in Race 4.

With a mix of short-priced favourites and value selections, Chris has put together an interesting eight-race card for Thursday.

Gosford Horse Racing Tips From Chris Camilleri – Thursday Racing Preview 22/10/26

Best Bet: Race 7 #1 Peleus ($1.75)

Peleus is one of Chris's two highest-stake selections and gets the nod as the best bet at Gosford.

At $1.75, the Race 7 runner is the shortest-priced selection on the card and carries Chris's highest staking confidence, making it the strongest shorter-priced betting option of the afternoon.

Next Best: Race 6 #2 Powerful Prayer ($3.50)

Powerful Prayer is Chris's other highest-stake selection and offers considerably more value at $3.50.

The Race 6 runner carries the same elevated staking confidence as Peleus but at double the price, making it another key betting opportunity late in the meeting.

Best Value: Race 6 #2 Powerful Prayer ($3.50)

Powerful Prayer at $3.50 is the standout value selection among Chris's strongest bets.

With both Powerful Prayer and Peleus carrying the highest stake, the bigger price makes Powerful Prayer an attractive option for punters looking to balance confidence with potential returns.

Best Roughie: Race 3 #1 Lions Eyes ($9.00)

Lions Eyes is Chris's biggest-priced selection at $9 and provides a roughie opportunity early in the meeting.

The Race 3 runner carries a standard stake, making it a more speculative option compared with Chris's two highest-confidence selections.

Betting Strategy

Chris's staking points clearly towards Powerful Prayer and Peleus as the two runners to build around at Gosford.

Peleus at $1.75 provides the shorter-priced anchor, while Powerful Prayer at $3.50 combines a bigger price with the same highest staking confidence.

For punters chasing further value, Lions Eyes at $9, Ready Made Heir at $5.50 and Wild Courage at $5.50 offer three additional opportunities at standard stakes. Fovea at $2.10 also provides a shorter-priced option to close out the meeting.
