Mick Gannon turns his attention to midweek racing at Kensington, where a Soft 5 surface and the rail out should reward runners with race fitness, map advantage and the ability to handle a bit of give in the ground.
With jockey bookings a key theme across his selections, Gannon has identified two runners who look ideally placed to take advantage of conditions and race shape.

Race 3 – No.1 INDIGO STAR $7.50
Indigo Star shapes as a strong each-way play in a race loaded with debutants.
While the well-backed Gorgeous has caught the market’s attention on the back of solid trial work, he concedes both race experience and map advantage to Indigo Star.
From barrier three, expect James McDonald to have this son of Zoustar settling much closer than last start, ideally leaders back and poised to strike on the turn.
That race experience should count for plenty in these conditions and give him a clear edge late.
Race 4 – No.2 UNLEESHING $1.70
Unleeshing looks set to peak third-up as he steps out to 1550 metres and gains the services of James McDonald, who boasts a strong strike rate when teaming up with the Bjorn Baker stable.
This daughter of Dundeel will relish any sting out of the ground and from barrier two maps to land on or near the speed.
With fitness on her side and a favourable run expected, she looks well placed to prove too strong for her rivals.
