Warwick Farm hosts the midweek meeting with the rail positioned 2 metres and the surface rated a Good 4, conditions that should allow runners to settle into a rhythm and build through their races.
With no dual track in operation, race shape and positioning will be key, particularly in smaller fields where tempo can play a decisive role.
Mick Gannon has identified two runners who were both unlucky last start, each racing against the day's pattern.
With improved setups here, both look well placed to bounce back and be very competitive.

Race 6 – #4 Horseshoe Hill $4.20
A smart filly who resumed off a 245-day break in the Listed Fireball Stakes.
That race was stacked with talent, including Beadman, Inkaruna and Caffe Florian, and she more than held her own, finishing alongside Caffe Florian who has since franked the form.
She raced keenly, over-raced at stages and also copped a bump in the straight, yet still worked to the line well.
Now dropping from Listed grade to a BM72 against her own sex, she finds a much more suitable race. She draws to advantage and gains Jason Collett in the saddle.
Race 8 – #9 Spirit Of Camelot $4.20
Formerly trained by Michael Hickmott, this five-year-old mare has had two runs for Peter Snowden and looks set to peak third-up.
Last preparation she produced a clear career peak before stepping into Group 2 company in the Queen Of The South Stakes.
James McDonald takes the ride from barrier 5, and she maps to land in the first half of the field, ideally positioned to strike turning for home.
Now nearing peak fitness, she looks ready to improve again and will be very hard to beat if she does.
