Mick Gannon – Rosehill Saturday Best Bets 18/7/26

Race 4 – #6 Namaste $9.50

Kicked off his preparation in good style, running a clear career peak whilst racing in the inferior going for the final 300m.

He was hampered at the start, before settling along the rails near the rear of the field. He was then on the Rosehill monorail until being held up at the 400m, forced to get off heels before he made good ground in the inferior going. This suggests there was further merit to his performance.

Given the race shape and pattern was against him and he's still run a career peak, he's clearly returned in fine order and finds a suitable second-up assignment.

With good speed drawn low and wide, look for Rachel King to land midfield with cover behind a strong speed, before sneaking runs and exploding late. 

The $9.50 available is well over the odds and he represents a great each-way bet.

Race 6 – #3 Sword Of Legacy $3.20

This progressive filly ran a clear career peak last start at Eagle Farm.

She retains the services of Nash Rawiller and gets a very similar set up this time.

Drawn low over the 1200m is always an advantage at Rosehill, and I expect her to settle midfield and prove too classy for her rivals late.
