Racing returns to Rosehill on Saturday with the track presented in terrific order and rated a Good 4.

With the rail back in the true position, early indications are that on-pace runners and those able to hold a position close to the fence will have a clear advantage around the tight-turning circuit.

Mick Gannon has zeroed in on two runners who map to get dream runs and arrive in peak condition.

Both look set to capitalise on favourable race shapes and strike while conditions are in their favour.

Race 5 – #7 Snack Bar $5.50

Snack Bar makes his stable debut for Bjorn Baker after being transferred from the Godolphin yard and he couldn’t have trialled better.

His latest hit-out was sharp, suggesting he’s forward enough to fire first-up.

He maps to land the leader's back, which is an ideal position at Rosehill over the 1100m where rail-in-run horses historically hold a significant edge.

The main danger is Lyles returning from Queensland, but that runner looks under the odds.

With new-stable improvement and a perfect map, Snack Bar should produce a big performance fresh and be right in the finish.

Race 8 – #10 Yorkshire $3.20

Yorkshire was a clear lay last start in The Hunter, forced to map awkwardly from a wide gate first-up at 1300m.

He gets every possible improvement factor here.

Second-up, fitter, drawn barrier 1 and in a race lacking genuine early pressure, he should land the leader's back and enjoy a soft run throughout.

His sharp turn of foot is his biggest weapon, and with conditions perfectly aligned, this looks an ideal bounce-back opportunity.

Look for Yorkshire to launch late and put his rivals away.
