Horse Racing Tips for the Queen Elizabeth Stakes 2026

Will she lose her Autumn Glow
GettyTagged: Neil Evans, Horse Racing Tips, Randwick, Queen Elizabeth Stakes
The headline Group 1 Queen Elizabeth over 2000m at weight-for-age is once again all about the market gap between the unbeaten star mare and those chasing her.
Gunning for a perfect 12 from 12, Autumn Glow was always going to jump well into odds-on, and yes, she may officially be crowned the next great champion if she puts this field away.
But $1.45 early is too short, and the gap to one runner in particular looks far too big, especially with that horse applying blinkers for the first time.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes Preview 2026
Track Conditions
The Soft 5 rating through Thursday and Friday should improve into a Good 4 by race day, with no rain forecast in the 48 hours leading up.
The Speed Map
Lindermann rolls forward and takes up the lead.
Dubai Honour pushes on from a middle gate and settles just off the speed, likely outside Australian Cup winner Light Infantry Man.
Autumn Glow lands in a perfect position just behind that pair, likely with Wootton Verni close by.
Caviar Heights settles in the next group, while Aeliana may roll forward but is more likely to settle back in the second half from the wide draw.
Sir Delius naturally drifts back towards the rear.
The Favourite
Like all great turf stars, Autumn Glow continues to improve with every run.
She maps to get a beautiful run with cover just off the speed, and if this turns into any sort of sprint from the 800m, she has a superior turn of foot.
That said, $1.45 is cramped.
Around $1.80 looks closer to the mark given she is stepping up 500m in trip and comes in three weeks between runs.
Neil’s Best Bet
I’m not conceding this race to Autumn Glow just yet, given my market has her closer to $1.80 versus $4.75 for Dubai Honour.
Take the quinella 1 and 7.
The Dangers
Dubai Honour ($8.50) brings the run out of the Group 1 Tancred, maps to get a better run from the draw, and with blinkers going on, he looks primed. He is clearly the main threat and looks well over the odds.
Sir Delius ($6.50) is high class and can finish strongly third-up from a good draw, although he may be looking for further and a bigger field.
Aeliana ($8.50) had every chance at Rosehill and still only just got over Dubai Honour. Back in trip does not look ideal and she shapes as a minor chance.
