Warwick Farm hosts the midweek meeting with the rail positioned +3m the entire circuit and the surface rated a Heavy 8, conditions that will place a strong emphasis on runners capable of handling significant sting out of the ground.

On wet tracks at Warwick Farm it is often important to find runners that can position themselves in the better lanes and maintain momentum through the ground.

Mick Gannon has identified two runners on the program who profile well under the expected conditions, with both looking well placed based on recent form and the likely race setups.

Race 3 – #3 Maidoff $2.90

Produced a clear career peak last start, and if she can replicate that level of performance she will take beating here.

The key question is whether she can transfer that dry track form to an improving soft/heavy surface, which is why we are getting a price.

She is fit enough to handle the conditions, has drawn to race in the better part of the track, and gets her opportunity if she handles the ground.

Race 7 – #4 Polyglot $4.00

Polyglot finds himself dropping back in grade, which brings him right into contention.

He relishes the sting out of the track, and these testing conditions should suit him.

It feels like D-Day for him, and the booking of Nash Rawiller is a positive.

Look for him to settle just off the rail and prove very competitive late in the race.
