Race 4 – #4 I Am Carrot $1.80

Steps from 1100m to 1350m and looks ideally suited by the rise in trip.

This is exactly what triggered his sharp second-up improvement last preparation.

Trainer Nacim Dilmi continues to build an impressive early strike rate (17.3%), and this horse gets every chance to add to it.

From barrier 1, he should kick up, hold the lead and take full advantage of a Wyong surface that heavily favours on-pace runners.

Very hard to run down.

Race 7 – #5 Presley $2.50

Forget he went around last start.

He found a much stronger race, settled last, and simply had no chance given the tempo.

The blinkers go on for the first time, signalling clear intent from the stable.

This lacks depth, and Presley brings the best raw ability in the field.

A clean jump would see him land handy and be extremely hard to beat, but even if he’s slowly away, a positive mid-race move from the 600m will put him right in the finish.

The class horse and with a decent ride, should be winning.
