Race 4 – #1 King Of The Sea $2.80

King Of The Sea looks a classy galloper with the ability to work his way through the grades this preparation.

His form around the 2000m to 2100m range last campaign was strong, highlighted by a narrow second in Benchmark 88 company at Randwick.

He's returned in excellent order with two impressive trials setting him up for his first-up assignment.

The map is the only slight query, but the Randwick mile gives him plenty of time to find his rhythm and the key jockey switch to James McDonald is a major positive.

With the best in the business taking over and plenty of improvement to come deeper into the campaign, King Of The Sea has the class to win this before progressing towards Listed company and beyond.

Race 10 – #7 Call Me Gorgeous $4.40

Call Me Gorgeous is ready to improve sharply second-up after an encouraging return over an unsuitable 1000 metres.

He was ridden cold first-up and settled around 7.5 lengths from the leaders before making strong ground through the straight.

It was an excellent return considering the setup and gives him the perfect platform for Saturday.

The rise in distance is firmly in his favour and, importantly, he drops significantly in grade.

With added fitness and a much more suitable assignment, a repeat of his first-up performance has him right in the finish.
