Mick Gannon has two progressive runners to follow at Rosehill on Saturday, with both coming off career-best wins and looking capable of taking another step through the grades.

Better Late finds a very winnable Midway after being scratched from the midweeks and brings a form line that has already been franked twice, while Ruination gets a senior jockey aboard and a favourable map with just 54kg.

Mick's full package is avaliable now for punters to snap up.

Mick Gannon – Rosehill Saturday Best Bets 12/9/26

Race 2 – #11 Better Late $5.00

Better Late was scratched from the midweeks for this and finds a very winnable Midway.

The lightly raced gelding produced a clear career peak last start, rolling forward at a genuine tempo before proving far too strong for his rivals late.

The form out of that race has already stacked up.

Runner-up Grinzinger Pod came out and won nicely in the same grade at Wyong last Friday, while fourth-placed Cryptoinc backed up with a second at Hawkesbury.

With the rail out 5m on a dry Rosehill track, the setup looks ideal.

Tim Clark can use barrier four to land on speed and give Better Late every possible chance.

He's progressive, maps perfectly and looks very hard to beat.

Race 10 – #10 Ruination $3.40

Ruination is another progressive galloper with plenty more to come.

He proved too good first-up with apprentice William Stanley aboard and now gets the significant switch to Tommy Berry.

From the soft draw, Berry should be able to have this son of Wootton Bassett settling inside the first four without doing much work.

With only 54kg, he'll get every opportunity to conserve energy before trying to outsprint his main dangers, Sovereign Hill and Eagle Express.

We haven't seen Ruination's ceiling yet and he can continue his rise through the grades this preparation.
