Eskimo Prince Day at Randwick delivered high-quality racing, and while the feature events took centre stage, there were several performances across the card that punters shouldn’t ignore.

Mick Gannon has reviewed the meeting and identified three runners who are primed to reward followers in the weeks ahead.

Race 10 – Lady Extreme

Produced a standout performance, running the fastest last 800m, 600m, 400m, 200m and 100m of the meeting while posting a new career peak.

Remarkably, she did it first-up without a trial, suggesting there’s plenty more improvement to come.

A big watch second-up wherever she turns up — she’s absolutely airborne.

Race 6 – Bella Corazon

Fast becoming a perennial black booker, but once again circumstances were against her.

The race was run at a crawl, which didn’t suit her pattern, yet she still managed to record the 9th fastest last 100m of the meeting.

Find her a race with a genuine tempo and she’ll be very hard to hold out.

Race 8 – Napoleonic

Returned in excellent order, finishing runner-up behind the star Tempted.

Despite carrying significantly more weight than Wodeton, he was clearly dominant over him and stamped himself as a galloper with genuine Group 1 potential heading into the Autumn.

A serious horse to keep onside.
